Dr. Mohammad-Sadegh Farahvash is a distinguished ophthalmologist and retinal surgeon who graduated as a gold medalist from the University of Tehran's School of Medicine. He specialized in ophthalmology with a focus on vitreo-retinal surgery, and served as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, where he trained generations of medical students, residents, and retinal subspecialists. For over 25 years, he practiced as an internationally recognized eye surgeon at Farabi Eye Hospital, one of the leading ophthalmic centers in the Middle East.

As the Director of Research in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Tehran, Dr. Farahvash led numerous clinical and translational research projects. His primary research interests include intravitreal therapies for retinal vascular disorders and comparative clinical trials in uveitic and diabetic macular edema. He has coauthored multiple peer-reviewed publications exploring innovations in retinal care, imaging, and pharmacologic treatment.

Dr. Farahvash brings a deep understanding of both medical and surgical management of eye conditions, with expertise spanning cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, refractive errors, and LASIK surgery. He also has extensive experience in contact lens fitting, systemic disease-related eye complications, and advanced diagnostic technologies.

Now based in Canada, Dr. Farahvash practices as a licensed optometrist, certified by the Canadian Board of Examiners in Optometry, with authorization to prescribe Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPAs). His wealth of international clinical experience and research leadership continues to inform and elevate his practice in vision care.
